Parish Council
Parish Council's form the first tier of local government closest to the people. The Council has been granted powers by Parliament including the important authority to raise money through taxation (the precept) and a range of powers to spend public money. There is no financial reward for being a Councillor just a hope to make a difference by influencing decisions that affect the community.
