THE SHOP
The shop has catered to the needs of the villagers for well over 100 years. The building itself is 17th century at the rear, with Victorian additions to the front (the shop). It once was a thriving bakery - two bread ovens still in existence.
WHO'S WHO
Rob Rootes, the Sub-postmaster, took over the stores in 1998, having pursued a previous career as a film and video editor in London. Rob is helped in the shop by Sue Rootes, Sue Mills, with Phil on Sundays.
